Rule #4: Never Get Stranded with a Sports Reporter
Jason
I didn't expect him to follow me to Fiji.
When Cal Prescott, the reporter who declared me "Professional Sports' Most Homophobic Player," shows up at my door, I do what any rational person would do.
I lie.
Specifically, I tell him I'm spending my suspension in Fiji and obviously can't spare fifteen minutes for an interview.
Unfortunately, now I actually have to go to Fiji.
More unfortunately, Cal follows me there. When I rent a jet ski to escape him, he rents one too.
Even more unfortunately, we both get lost. Now we're stranded on a deserted tropical island with no food, no shelter, no wifi, and absolutely nowhere to hide from the memory of that kiss we shared at hockey camp ten years ago.
He probably forgot.
I never did.
Now I'm surviving on coconuts, constructing shelters all wrong, and sleeping three feet from the man who ruined my reputation.
And I hate how much I am loving this.

About Portia Blake
Portia writes MM hockey romances about men who make life decisions most people manage to avoid--accidental marriages, fake relationships, coparenting with rivals--then become love-obsessed maniacs. She lives within walking distance of a hockey arena, where she absolutely does not stalk the players. Obviously.
